CA GOVERNOR: Recommendation: BRIAN DAHLE (R)
In this crowded field of 27 candidates, I am recommending an (R) Senator BRIAN DAHLE BrianDahle.com
CA LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR: Recommendation: ANGELA UNDERWOOD JACOBS (R) COMMENTS: Angela is a my “Pick”, endorsed by the CA Republican Party, Reform CA, Reform CA, Craig Huey of Conservative Election Forum. Jacobs is also on the Vote Recommendations Lists of Conservative researcher, Robyn Nordell, Kathy Dittner, and Scott Peotter. She is a bank Executive by trade and currently serves as Deputy Mayor of Lancaster. https://www.angelaforcalifornia.com
SECRETARTY OF STATE: Recommendation: RACHEL HAMM (R) COMMENTS: Rachel Hamm is a Conservative and Pro-Family. She has been instrumental in dealing with Voter Fraud in CA, and would be perfect for this office. She endorsed by CA GOP, CA CA Republican Assembly, Conservative Researcher, Craig Huey of www.Election Forum.org, on Family Values Voter Guide, endorsed by MyPillow CEO, Mike Lindell, former Trump national security adviser, General Michael Flynn, and the former asst to President Trump, Steve Bannon, who referred to Rachel Hamm as part of a "rising generation of superstars." (ROB BERNOSKY is my 2nd choice) Rachelhammsos.com
CONTROLLER: Recommendation: LANHEE CHEN (R) COMMENTS: Oh boy, do we ever need LANHEE CHEN as our CA Controller! What is the Controller’s job, you ask? A Controller is supposed to be an “independent” fiscal WATCHDOG, ie, the person who makes sure taxpayer money—OUR money—is spent as we’re told it will be. HOWEVER, with CA’s “ONE PARTY” rule, that’s not happening! CHEN is the only Republican running, and promises to Protect Taxpayers from Fraud (that’s why he is running!), hold politicians accountable, and provide fiscal responsibility. CHEN is a really smart guy, with lots of expertise in the fiscal area. He is the son of Taiwan immigrants, earning 4 DEGREES from HARVARD University, including a law degree and doctorate in political science. He teaches at Stanford University, where he also conducts research at the Hoover Institution, a public policy think tank. He is Endorsed by just about EVERYONE in the Republican party: CA Republican Assembly, the OC REGISTER Newspaper, Lincoln Club, Reform CA, Craig Huey of Conservative www.Election Forum.org , Conservative (Deborah) Pauly’s Picks, Conservative (Scott) Peotter’s Picks, Conservative Robyn Nordell’s Ballot Recommendations. Chenforcalifornia.com
TREASURER: Recommendation: JACK GUERRERO (R) COMMENTS: Guerrero is the son of Mexican immigrant parents -- farmworkers and later, factory workers who settled in LA. Jack was raised in a tough neighborhood, surrounded by poverty, gangs, and bad public schools. As a youth, he was determined to escape poverty, obtain a quality education, seek a better life. At the age of 15, Jack enrolled at university and went on to graduate from Stanford and get an MBA from Harvard University. He is a CPA, a former Bank Vice President and Mayor. Guerrero understands “unfunded pension” which threatens the long-term financial stability of CA. He will EXPOSE the mismanagement by reckless politicians. Jack4treasurer.com
ATTORNEY GENERAL: Recommendation: ERIC EARLY (R) COMMENTS: ERIC EARLY is an great candidate for Attorney General. He stands for all the values in my “criteria”! His priorities are: Support for Law Enforcement, Secure our Elections, he stands for Law and Order, Protection of 2nd Amendment Rights, Protecting our Borders, opposes Critical Race Theory (CRT) being taught in Schools, Protecting Small Businesses, Protecting Girls’ Sports, and stopping rogue District Attorneys in CA, to name a few. He is NOT a politician, and is the only one in this race who has not held elective office. HELP SAVE CA! VOTE EARLY (and often! JK!). Early is endorsed by Craig Huey of Election Forum. (My 2nd choice is NATHAN HOCHMAN). Ericearlyforca.com
INSURANCE COMMISSIONER: Recommendation: ROBERT HOWELL (R) COMMENTS: Of the 9 candidates, only 2 are Republican. Of those, I am recommending ROBERT HOWELL, who is a “Reagan Republican” and is endorsed by the Conservative Republican Assembly and the Conservative Election forum, and Craig Huey. Electroberthowell.com
STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION - 4TH Dist: Recommendation: ERIK PETERSON (R) COMMENTS: PETERSON is the Conservative Republican and Patriot we need in this BOE 4th Dist. I have previously vetted and recommended him in his current office of City Councilman for Huntington Beach, where he resides. His day job is a small business owner of an electrical company in HB. He is a Marine Military Veteran, too. He is endorsed by the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Assoc and many other Conservative Elected officials. (My 2nd choice is Conservative, Matt Harper) www.petersonforboe.com CA
STATE SENATE - 30th Dist: Recommendation: MITCH CLEMMONS (R) COMMENTS: CLEMMONS is the ONLY Republican in a race of 4 candidates. This district is largely in LA County. He is Pro-Faith and Family. He supports Law and Order and Victims of crime, Pro-Reduced Inflation, Pro-Reduced Taxes, Parents Rights in Education, and believes in Secure Borders. “I am a man of faith. I trust God for all things, and I do my best to follow Him.” Endorsed by the Conservative CA Republican Assembly. Electmitchclemmons.com
STATE SENATE - 32nd Dist: Recommendation: KELLY SEYARTO (R) COMMENTS: The majority of this 32nd CA Senate District is not in OC, but Riverside Co, so SEYARTO and not well known to me. But my research shows SEYARTO to be a solid Republican candidate, coming out of Murrieta, where he started on the Murrieta City Council, then moved up to CA State Assemblyman, now a candidate for this CA Senate seat. SEYARTO is endorsed by the REPUBLICAN Party Counties of Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego. Also by the Lincoln Club, Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Assoc, and the National Rifles Assoc (NRA), and many known elected officials. His livelihood was as a firefighter for 35 yrs, and has been married 34 yrs. I have not been able to determine where he stands on Social issue, however. If SEYARTO wins this office, it would be a “flip”, as the 32nd Dist is currently held by a DEM. SeyartoForSenate.com
STATE SENATE - 34th Dist: Recommendation: RHONDA SHADER (R) COMMENTS: Placentia Mayor Rhonda Shader has been in local government leadership since 2016. She is endorsed by the OC Republican Party, the Lincoln Club, is the the Family Values Voter Guide, and on the Recommendations of the Conservative Ballot Researcher, www.RobynNordell.com, Scott Peotter, foll ShaderForSenate.com
STATE SENATE - 36th Dist: Recommendation: JANET NGUYEN (R) COMMENTS: I have supported R-JANET NGUYEN in several previous elections. She is NOT my favorite Conservative, but has been always light years better than her opponent. She is running against Liberal DEM, KIM CARR in this newly drawn 36th Senate District. Since they are the only 2 on the ballot, both will automatically advance to the Nov General election. Nguyen started as a Garden Grove City Council member, then elected as an OC Supervisor, then served one term in the CA Senate, elected in 2014. However, she lost her CA Senate re-election to DEM Tom Umberg in 2018. She returned to Sacramento in 2020, however, when she won the 72nd Assembly seat, where she currently serves. NGUYEN is Pro-Life, opposes “single-payer” health care system, opposes CA Sanctuary laws to protect undocumented immigrants. These are all issues DEM Carr SUPPORTS! Janet2022.com
STATE SENATE - 38th Dist: Recommendation: MATT GUNDERSON (R) COMMENTS: MATT GUNDERSON is a Conservative that stands for the values I support, and is endorsed by CA Senator Pat Bates (who is term-limited out). He is new to politics, but comes from a politically active family. He is blessed to be the only R in this race. GUNDERSON is also endorsed by the Republican Parties of both OC and San Diego Co, Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Assoc. the Lincoln Club, OC Sheriff, Don Barnes, MV Mayor Wendy Bucknum, RSM Mayor Tony Beall, Congressman Darryll Issa, and Newt Gingrich, and more. Let’s keep this seat RED REPUBLICAN. Vote GUNDERSON! GoWithGunderson.com
STATE ASSEMBLY - 59th Dist: Recommendation: PHILLIP CHEN (R) COMMENTS: PHILLIP CHEN is one “Lucky Duck”! He is running unopposed. He has done a good job and deserves to be re-elected. PhillipChen.org
STATE ASSEMBLY - 64th Dist: Recommendation: RAUL ORTIZ, JR (R) COMMENTS: COMMENTS: Of the 6 candidates on the ballot, ONLY RAUL ORTIZ, JR is a REPUBLICAN, but from my research, he is a good one! He describes himself as “Christian Constitutionalist Conservative Republican Leader”. He also serves on the Board of the Conservative CA Republican Assembly and is endorsed by them. Ortiz says he has been a preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ for 39 yrs, a husband, father of 8, who grew up in Norwalk and resides in La Mirada. Has a B.A. in theology, but is now a “business servant leader”. He attends Calvary Chapel, Chino Hills, but we have never met. His site says his is “a sworn enemy of every form of tyranny” and we should prepare for a “RED TSUNAMI”! I like this guy! www.linkedin.com › in › raul-ortiz-jr-60085316b Direct.me/raulforassembly
STATE ASSEMBLY - 67th Dist: Recommendation: SOO YOO (R) COMMENTS: SOO YOO is a great candidate, that has the solid endorsements of the REPUBLCAN Parties of both Orange and LA Counties, Howard Jarvis of Taxpayers Association , Lincoln Club of Orange County, California Republican Assembly (CRA), Orange County Young Republicans, and a favorite Conservative of mine, former CA Senator, JOHN MOORLACH. SooYooForAssembly.com
STATE ASSEMBLY - 68th Dist: Recommendation: JAMES WALLACE (R) COMMENTS: JAMES WALLACE is a “breath of fresh air” to me, and SB to all us Conservative Republicans. AND HE’S YOUNG! I heard him speak at a recent Candidates Forum, and was so impressed! This is what he stands for: 1st Amendment Protections (pandemics and fear will NOT cancel them), no infringement of 2nd amendment, 100% Pro-Life, “Small Government” and reduced taxes are BEST for people. He supports traditional marriage and traditional gender identity, AMERICA first (re: trade/mfg), supports Voter ID (Citizens ONLY), Medical Freedom, and Law Enforcement is a NECESSARY part of our society. Plus, and he’s a Strict Constitutionalist. I think JAMES WALLACE is ME! If in 68th, vote for WALLACE, and tell all you know to do the same. Endorsed by “Pauly’s Picks” (Deborah Pauly). https://www.wallace4assembly.com
STATE ASSEMBLY - 70th Dist: Recommendation: EMILY HIBARD (R) COMMENTS: Endorsed b the Conservative CA Republican Assembly. Her top priorities will be to fight the Democrat’s soft-on-crime policies, eliminate the early release of prisoners, strengthen the punishments for theft and fight these misguided “zero bail” policies. Public Safety is personal for me. See her website for reasons WHY Public Safety is so personal to her. Interesting story. (Tri-Ta would be my 2nd choice) https://emilyserves.com
STATE ASSEMBLY - 71st Dist: Recommendation: MATT RAHN (R) COMMENTS: This is a newly drawn district and is MY STATE ASSEMBY DISTICE. The majority of AD 71 is in Riverside Co (Murrieta, Wildomar and Temecula), but somehow part of So OC got too, including MV, RSM, Coto De Caza, Ladera Ranch, the Canyons, and portions of San Clemente. (I don’t like this, but nobody asked me!) I researched the Only 2 that are running, and both are Republican and both appear to be CONSERVATIVE. I picked RAHN because he seemed to be the most experienced. He is the current Mayor of Temecula, and is endorsed by R Congressmen Darryl Issa and Ken Calvert. He earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Nevada – Reno, a Ph.D. from UC Davis, and a law degree from the University of San Diego. ( KATE SANCHEZ is a Conservative, too, and would be fine, but w/ little experience!) Rahnforassembly.com
STATE ASSEMBLY - Dist 72nd: Recommendation: BENJAMIN YU (R) COMMENTS: Diane Dixon is the lead for this office, but I am recommending SOLID CONSERVATIVE, BENJAMIN YU. Per SCOTT PEOTTER: “After serving with her [Diane Dixon] for 4 years and seeing her disloyalty and self serving attitude, I cannot vote for her. She is likely to win, but I am voting for BENJAMIN YU as a protest vote in this primary”. I concur with SCOTT, and making the same recommendation in favor of YU. BENJAMIN YU is a solid Pro-life Christian, who supports: Improve Public Safety, Support Small Business, Support Parental Rights and School Choice, Protect Middle class, Expand State Veteran Programs and Benefits. and Reduce Homelessness.
STATE ASSEMBLY - Dist 73rd: Recommendation: STEVEN CHOI (R) COMMENTS: Endorsed by the REPUBLCAN PARTY of OC, Incumbent CHOI is a strong pro-family candidate. His opposition is a VERY liberal DEM, COTTIE PETRIE-NORRIS who is an incumbent, who has a lot of DEM money supporting her. He is on the Pro-Family Values Voter Guide and is Pro-Life. StevenChoi.org
STATE ASSEMBLY - Dist 74th: Recommendation: LAURIE DAVIES (R) COMMENTS: LAURIE DAVIES has done a good job and deserves to be re-elected. Endorsed by the REPUBLCAN PARTY of OC. DaviesForCA.com CA SUP OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION (STATE OF CA) Recommendation: LANCE CHRISTENSEN (R) COMMENTS: LANCE CHRISTENSEN is a conservative and was CA State Senator JOHN MOORLACH’S Chief of Staff for his years in the CA Senate. CHRISTENSEN is Pro-Life, Pro-Parent’s Rights, is on Family Values Voter Guide and endorsed by the Lincoln Club, and is very familiar with the CA Ed Code. Per Sen Moorlach: “Californians need a proven leader to be its State Superintendent of Public Instruction. Someone who has school-aged children and appreciates the importance of providing the best education for the Golden State’s six million-plus students. Lance Christensen is that gifted, intelligent and disciplined educational leader we need. He understands how Sacramento operates and where he can make the necessary and needed improvements. We’ve seen how disappointing our school systems are over these last two years. The status quo is not making the grade. You can be confident in your vote for Lance Christensen to positively impact the current generation and beyond.” (My 2nd Choice would be JIM GIBSON) Lancechristensen.com
OC SUPERVISOR - 2nd Dist: Recommendation: CECILIA "CECI" IGLESIAS (R) COMMENTS: I have researched and recommended “CECI” IGLESIAS for many previous elective offices. She will do a great job as an OC Supervisor and will help keep the Supervisor Board Conservative. She is on the Family Values Voter Guide and is on the Recommendations of Conservative Researchers: Kathy’s Picks, Pauly’s Picks, Craig Alexander’s Recommendations, Robyn Nordell’s Conservative Voter’s Guide. Iglesiasforsupervisor.com https://www.facebook.com › iglesiasforsupervisor
OC SUPERVISOR - 4th Dist: Recommendation: STEVEN VARGAS (R) COMMENTS: Previous Mayor and current City Councilmember for the city of Brea. Former active military, and currently serves as Lieutenant Commander for US Naval Reserves. VARGAS has lots of experience and will serve our county well. Lots of Conservative endorsements for Vargas, too. This seat is currently held by DEM Doug Chaffee, and needs to be turned RED Republican again. While this is a not partisan race, both of Vargas’s opponents (Chaffee and Sunny Parks) are liberal DEMS. PARKS has the OC Dem Party endorsement. Vargas4Supervisor.com
OC SUPERVISOR - 5th Dist: Recommendation: KEVIN MULDOON (R) COMMENTS: Of the 4 candidates running for Supervisor Conservatives 5, I am recommending KEVIN MULDOON, who is running against the current office holder, DEM Katrina Foley, a liberal disaster. Also running against Foley are 2 other known R’s (CA Senator Pat Bates and Diane Harkey). I have previously recommended both for other offices. Any of these 3 R’s are far better than left-wing, FOLEY, however. While Bates and Harkey have elective experience and are conservative, I am recommending attorney and current Conservative mayor of Newport Beach for Supervisor, 5th Dist. MULDOON is . . . . .well, “YOUNGER”, ONLY 43. PAT BATES is 82 (time to retire!) and HARKEY will be 71 and hasn’t won any offices recently. (This being said, if this office goes to a runoff w/either Harkey or Bates, I will absolutely recommend either one in NOV. (Hey! Hey! Ho! Ho, DEM FOLEY, has got to go!) MULDOON is smart, young (remember, only 43) and energetic. He is endorsed by Patriots for Freedom, (www.pffpac.com), OC Gunowners, CA Republican Assembly, Congressman (Ret) Dana Rohrabacher, Newport Beach City Councilmembers: Brad Avery, Duffy Duffield, and Mayor Pro-Tem Noah Blom, is on the Family Values Voter Guide, and is on the Recommendations of Conservative Researchers: Pauly’s Picks, and Scott Peotter’s Conservative Voter’s Guide. He’ll do a great job! Votemuldoon.com
OC ASSESSOR: Recommendation: CLAUDE PARRISH (R) COMMENTS: Incumbent CLAUDE PARRISH appears to be doing a good job, and has the endorsement of the OC Republican Party. He’s on the Family Values Voter Guide, too. NOTE: Opponent, RICK FOSTER is endorsed by OC DEM Party. ClaudeParrish.com
OC AUDITOR/CONTROLLER: Recommendation: ANDREW HAMILTON (R) COMMENTS: ANDREW HAMILTON is an OUTSTANDING Conservative candidate, and is one “Lucky Duck “ to be running UNOPPOSED. He is a former Lake Forest City Councilman, who I have vetted and recommended several times in the past. He is smart, ethical and will do a great job in this office. Electandrewhamilton.com
COUNTY CLERK-RECORDER: Recommendation: HUGH NGUYEN (R) COMMENTS: incumbent, and seems to be doing a good job. Endorsed by the OC Republican Party, Lincoln Club, and on the Family Values Voter Guide. www.Facebook.com/HughNguyenClerkRecorder
DISTRICT ATTORNEY-PUBLIC ADMINISTRATOR: Recommendation: MICHAEL A. JACOBS (R) COMMENTS: This is a “defensive” vote (ie, to not allow left, liberal PETER HARDIN to get in) and recommending TODD SPITZER, and NOW going to an “offensive” one, by recommending MICHAEL JACOBS, instead. JACOBS is a seasoned and experienced prosecutor. In my research, I found out that JACOBS is HIGHLY regarded by his peers for his leadership style, competence and professionalism. (He’s been a prosecutor for 30 yrs.) These JACOBS qualities are NOT the qualities of TODD SPITZER, who is NOT a good leader of people, but vindictive and aggressive in his style. I KNEW THIS, but I initially saw NO CHOICE to George Soros-backed PETER HARDIN out! HOWEVER, with there being 4 candidates in the DA race, it was pointed out, that the chances of someone winning over 50% is NOT LIKELY, in order to win. So, there likely will be a RUNOFF in November. So, let’s play OFFENCE, and VOTE for MICHAEL, and PRAY he wins one of the 2 in highest number of votes to compete in NOV. However, SPITZER is likely to win outright, or be in a “runoff”. If the latter, I will absolutely “hold you nose, and vote for SPITZER” in NOV. SPITZER would be “light years” better than GEORGE SOROS-backed candidate, PETER HARDIN.
SHERIFF - CORONER: Recommendation: DON BARNES(R) COMMENTS: Running unopposed. He’s done a great job and deserves to be re-elected.
TREASURER - TAX COLLECTOR: Recommendation: SHARI FREIDENRICH (R) COMMENTS: Running unopposed. She has done a great job and deserves to be re-elected.
OC SUPERINTENDENT of SCHOOLS: Recommendation: DR. STEFAN BEAN (R) COMMENTS: We desperately need a change in CA Schools, starting in OC. Dr Bean is a strong supporter of Parental Rights, Protecting our Children, and for Parents to have a Choice for their Children. Dr Bean has had 24 yrs in education, strongly supports Charter Schools, opposes the teaching of Critical Race Theory, and says, “Parents have the right to know what their children are being taught ". He is endorsed by the 4 Conservative Trustees on the OC Board of Education, the Conservative CA REPUBLICAN ASSEMBLY, the Lincoln Club, and the Conservative group, Patriots for Freedom, (www.pffpac.com) Tell all voters in OC to VOTE DR STEFAN BEAN for OC SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS and let’s take our schools back! FYI, Dr BEAN’S opponent is entrenched, AL MIJARES, long-time, entrenched OC Superintendent, who was originally appointed and has not been in a competitive race, until this one. He appears to be a “NICE” guy, but is a “go-along to get-along” type of leader, always getting the endorsements of the Dem Party and the Teacher’s Unions. He is endorsed by them now, that is the OC DEM Party, and California Teachers Assoc and California School Employees Association. He is paid well at $382,387/yr. The conservative OC Board of Education recently noting his salary was above that of most in his position, and cut it to $330,000 beginning in June. DrBeanOC.com
SUPERIOR COURT
SUPERIOR CT -No 5: Recommendation: (R) DANIEL ESPINOSA COMMENTS: Of the 3 candidates running, ESPINOSA appears to be the best. I heard 2 of them speak, ESPINOSA and KIMBERLY LASALLE at a Conservative forum, and they were peppered w/questions, and ESPINOSA’S presentation and responses, I thought were better. He has been 40 yrs in private practice and has over 150 jury trials under his belt. His candidate ballot statement says all 3 of his children graduated from Mater Dei HS, indicating he likely is Catholic, and hopefully a “believer”. The 3rd candidate, CLAUDIA ALVAREZ, my research shows is a Democrat, and didn’t respond to the invitation to speak at this forum, C-POC (Conservative Patriots of Orange County). Since JUDGES are “non-partisan” races, it is often difficult to know their political party even. Danespinosa4judge.com
SUPERIOR CT - No 9 Recommendation: JOE DANE (R) COMMENTS: DANE is currently a Superior Ct. Commissioner and was a Reserve Deputy Sheriff, and has taught at the Police Academy for over 10 yrs. I heard him speak at the C-POC forum, and he was impressive. He has been a Deputy District Attorney for 12 yrs involved in 125 jury trials. Also, some years in private practice. He is endorsed by Judge James DiCesare, who is leaving this No 9 seat, and dozens of other judges and attorneys. He states in his candidate statement that he and his wife are “active volunteers in our community, church and 4-H”. I think he sounds like a good one! (Note: Should challenger R-CHRISTOPER DUFF win, that would be okay, too! It is good to have 2 good candidates running) Joedaneforjudge.com
SUPERIOR CT - No 11 Recommendation: SHAWN NELSON (R) COMMENTS: SHAWN NELSON is currently the Chief Asst DA of Orange Co. Previously, he was elected and served for over 8 yrs as an OC Supervisor where his actions were consistently that of a conservative. Prior to that, he served as Mayor of Fullerton. I HIGHLY recommend NELSON, based on his elective history of being a Conservative and voting Conservatively, and his long time experience as a prosecutor and attorney. He’ll be terrific! NelsonJudge.com
SUPERIOR CT - No 21 Recommendation: ERIN BELTRAN ROWE (D) COMMENTS: ROWE is the “BEST” of the 2 DEMS running for this office. This recommendation originally was based mainly on information from a trusted advisor, but then I had the opportunity to hear her speak, and I was impressed by her values, in spite of the dumb DEM Party Registration. Roweforjudge2022.com
SUPERIOR CT - No 22 Recommendation: BRAHIM BAYTIEH (R) COMMENTS: He is well-qualified for position. Has reputation of being a very hard worker with a humble spirit, which are good qualities for a judge. By far, the best of the 3 for this office. Baytieh4judge.com
SUPERIOR CT - No 28 Recommendation: ERIC SCARBROUGH (R) COMMENTS: Well-qualified, and definitely the most conservative of the 2 candidates for this judge seat. This recommendation was an easy one to come by bc of SCARBROUGH’S strong JUDICAL qualities, and long list of great endorsements. Scarbrough4judge.com
SUPERIOR CT - No 30 Recommendation: BENJAMIN STAUFFER (R): COMMENTS: By far, the BEST in this field of 5, STAUFFER, not a politician, HE is a very solid Conservative in all areas, w/good temperament for a Judge, and well-qualified to serve. A former Garden Grove Police officer before Law School, he attends Calvary Chapel, Chino Hills. Running also in this crowded field is PEGGY HUANG, who is more known bc she currently serves on Yorba Linda City Council, so a politian. I have recommended her for the CC position several times. She is probably STAUFFER’s biggest competition, due to name recognition. However, STAUFFER would be “superior”, for this Superior Court #30. (Huang would be my 2nd choice.) https://www.facebook.com › stauffer4judge
SUPERIOR CT - No 33 Recommendation: STEVE McGREEVY (R) COMMENTS: Both of the candidates for this office are Republicans, but I give the nod to McGREEVY as I was able to hear him speak, has a lot of good experience, good judge temperament, and has good endorsements, including OC Sheriff, Don Barnes. McGreevy4Judge.com
SUPERIOR CT- No 45 Recommendation: KEVIN BRIAN JONES (R) HUEY’S research gives JONES his highest 5-star rating in his research, and has personally endorsed JONES. I trust HUEY’S research for this JUDICAL seat. Additionally, the Orange County Bar Association (7500 members)-rated Jones, “Well Qualified”. For further information on this candidate, go to Independent Candidate Analysis: https://JudgeVoterGuide.com. Also, see Independent Candidate Analysis: https://ElectionForum.org RE: Opponent, Israel Claustro, who I had originally chosen bc he had a good reputation as being a fair, law and order candidate, the right temperament, and some very solid conservative endorsements, even though a registered Democrat. Mistakenly, I thought JONES was also a DEM, but further research corrected that. JONES is a registered “R”. That fact and the High 5-Star rating, has finally allowed me to “put this to bed”. Vote KEVIN BRIAN JONES for Superior Court No 45!
MEASURE A - HUNTINGTON BEACH Recommendation: BIG FAT NO DISCRIPTION: Cannabis Tax. This measure creates a Special Tax that would be applied to Cannabis sales to provide funds for Homeless Services including, Behavioral Health, Homeless Prevention, Intervention services. It must be passed by 2/3 of voters. COMMENTS: The Cannabis Tax Measure is a giant new tax on Huntington Beach residents. The measure aims to create a special tax that is “not-to-exceed" 6% (meaning it will be 6%) on cannabis sales. Officials claim the money will go to “homeless” programs, but the money could potentially be diverted somewhere else. A “NO” Vote rejects this tax increase . A BIG FAT NO! It doesn’t matter WHAT or WHO is being taxed. We pay enough in taxes!
MEASURE B - NEWPORT BEACH Recommendation: YES DESCRIPTION: Amendment to City Charter to Provide for the Direct Election of the Mayor by the Voters. COMMENTS: This measure would make the mayor directly elected by Voters, rather than the current practice of allowing council members to select the mayor. A “YES” vote will allow Voters to have a direct say in the head of the city government and the priorities brought forth in the city council’s agenda. It will also allow for more consistent leadership, rather than the position rotating every year. Directly electing the Mayor removes an element of executive power from the hands of politicians, and gives it to the people. In my opinion, electing a MAYOR directly is advantageous for a city.
MEASURE C – WESTMINSTER Recommendation: NO DISCRIPTION: Eliminate Office of Elective Mayor, and INCREASE number of Councilmembers and Districts from 4 to 5. COMMENTS: The Westminster mayor is currently directly elected by the people, but this measure would eliminate the role of voters in this process and allow the council members to select the mayor themselves. A “NO” vote keeps the mayor directly elected by the people. Direct election of the mayor allows residents to have a direct say in the head of the city government and the priorities brought forth in the city council’s agenda. It also allows for more consistent leadership, rather than the position rotating every year. Eliminating direct election of the mayor consolidates executive power in the hands of politicians, rather than the people. In my opinion, electing a MAYOR directly by Voters is advantageous.
